In 1994, Bear Canyon Tree Farm was honored to be selected to represent the State of Washington at the National Tree Fair. After the popular vote, three trees were tied for first place, including ours. When the tie was settled, we came in third. The first and second place winners put the tree in the White House for the following two years. That was a near miss!
Our trees have taken first, second and third place winnings at the Pacific Northwest Christmas Tree Association tree fairs over the years.
We also received first place for commercial wreaths one year.
This year we again have a chance to represent the State of Washington at the national convention.
ALSO, our farm was selected as the Tree Farm of the Year for Christmas trees in 2001 by the local Farm Forestry Association.
